The following instructions are for installing Sava Standard on a dedicated server (not a shared environment). REQUIREMENTS - Must have ColdfusionMX7 (If you have ColdFusion 8 or Railo, please see Installation_CF8_Railo.txt) - Access to the ColdFusion Administrator - Access to a MySQL or Microsoft SQL database server and the ability to add a new database - Ability to add a Datasource to ColdFusion or Railo Administrator INSTALLATION 1. Paste the contents of "sava[version]\www\" directory into your webroot. 2. Add the Sava custom tags (sava[version number]\www\requirements\custom_tags) to your ColdFusion MX7 server. - This can be found in CFusion[version]\CustomTags 3. Add a mapping to CFMX7 for the following: sava5, coldspring, fusebox5, ModelGlue & reactor found in "sava[version]\requirements". 4. Add a mapping in CFMX7 for "savaWRM" pointing to the root of your Sasva install (www) 5. Create a database in MS SQL or MySQL named "savaDB" and run the appropriate script (found in "sava[version]/db") against it. 6. Create a Datasource (DSN) named "savaDB" connecting to the database (savaDB) you created in the step above. 7. In sava[version number]\www\config\setting.ini.cfm set the following required settings: - dbType (mysql or mssql) - dbUsername - dbPassword - adminemail - mailserverip - mailserverusername - mailserverpassword - mailserverfailto 8. In your browser go to http://[domain]/admin/ and login. - Username: admin - Password: admin 9. Select "Edit Current Site" under the "Site Settings" menu located in the top right hand area of your window and update the following settings: - Domain - Default Contact Email Address - Mail Server IP - Mail Server Username - Mail Server Password 10. On start up Sava will attempt to create a scheduled task to check for event reminders, scheduled emails and to flush cache for scheduled content. If you do not want this task to be created you can changed the Ping attribute in the \config\setting.ini.cfm to 0. 11. You're done installing Sava. Enjoy! NOTE If your Web Server/Servlet Container does not support the extension of urls to include query parameters after index.cfm (i.e. http://www.gosava.com/sava/products/index.cfm/widgets), or you simply prefer to use the "go" servlet instead (i.e. http://www.gosava.com/go/sava/products/widgets/), you will need to perform the following steps to enable it: 1. Add the jar files in the sava "lib" directory to your ColdFusion "WEB-INF/lib" directory. 2. Add custom mapping to your ColdFusion web.xml (lib/web-xml.txt) 3. In sava[version number]\www\config\setting.ini.cfm set the stub attribute to /go 4. Restart the ColdFusion. TROUBLESHOOTING If you receive the message "Application Starting. This site is currently loading.", Sava needs to be reloaded by appending "?appreload&override" to the url. For example, http://[domain]/index.cfm?appreload&override If you have any questions regarding installation, please visit our Support Forum at http://www.gosava.com/sava/forum.
